The Limousin is a region of lakes, stunning natural beauty and rich history. The areas beautiful natural landscape lends itself to many outdoor activities including; hiking, kayaking, swimming, mountain-biking, cycling, birdwatching and fishing. Lac St-Pardoux is only a 15 minute drive away and offers many watersports as well as cycling and horse riding. The mountains that make up the Monts de Blond are very close by. Although not the highest mountains they are very beautiful and offer a hundred kms of paths for hiking and mountain biking. They are also home to the ironage megaliths of Rochers de Puychaud.

There are also many picturesque towns and villages steeped in history to visit. For example Mortemart is officially designated as " one of the most beautiful villages in France ". Limoge itself is a fascinating city made famous by it's porcelain industry. A visit to the old town, cathedral and one of the porcelain factories is well worth the trip.


Lac St Pardoux

This is a beautiful lake covering over 330 hectares. There are beautiful sandy beaches and many watersports on offer. Around the lake you can also cycle and horseride.
